Our society has been going for over 60 years, and we have been excited to reconvene after such awful times for so many. We again all look forward each week to getting together again to do what we enjoy (and what has been shown to be excellent for mental health among other things). We rehearse on Monday evenings from 7.30pm in Burton Joyce Village Hall, and are a friendly bunch! We sing an eclectic mix of music, from baroque to oratorio to music from shows etc. We generally sing in four part harmony (or occasionally more); but if that sounds daunting, we have plenty of experienced singers to guide you!! Occasionally we get the chance to perform at bigger venues, and with other local choirs, which is always a delight. We have the Verdi requiem in the diary for 2023, with Southwell Choral Society!! We welcome new faces. A love of singing is needed of course, and a willingness to learn new things. It is not essential to be able to read music, but it help
